Winning weekend for Kudus and Walvis Bay

Rugby fans of Walvis Bay had a good weekend, with both harbour town rugby teams, Kudus and Walvis Bay Rugby Club managing impressive wins against rival teams Rehoboth Rugby Club and Reho Falcon in the Namibia Rugby Union’s premier league.

Kudus had a well-deserved 46-12 win against Rehoboth. Fly half Aurelio Plato, eighth man Ernesto Bampton, Anthony Jevu, Michael Hummel, Carlton Stevens, wing Elton De Smith and Zane Williams scored tries for Kudus.
Kudus is now second on the log.
In the Rehoboth camp Chase Diergaardt scored both the team’s tries.
Walvis Bay Rugby Club also had home advantage and thrashed Reho Falcon with an overwhelming 56-0. Try scorers were Cedric Haraseb, Jeroen van Dam, Chris Klassen, Stuart McAlpine, James Marx and Bruce Strause. Dirkie von Weidts homed two penalties and converted five tries.
