Swakopmund host first fight night

Boxing, which is considered as one of the most watched spectator sport in Namibia is growing and is not only watched in the capital but also other smaller towns in the country.

Swakopmund will be hosting the first exhibition fight for 2019 will be hosted in Swakopmund at the Swakopmund Hotel and Casino on 16 February. The exhibitions fight night hosted by Legacy Boxing Club in conjunction with Albinus “Danny Boy” Felisianu, a professional boxer that is the holder of the IBF Youth World, WBF Lightweight Inter-continental and IBF All Africa Inter-Continental titles.
Danny Boy will fight against Given Mothiba from South Africa, an MMA fighter that is ranked 33rd under the Amateur Men’s Bantam-weight.
The night will also see Namibian Kickboxing champions Lesley !Hoab and Delano Müller in action against opponents still to be made known. The event is aimed at raising funds for Danny Boy’s International fight which is scheduled for 21 March this year in Outapi.
