Thirty-five players participated in the Sanlam Individual Stableford competition this past Saturday. Sanlam Individual Stableford traditionally is associated with fundraising for cancer research. The event was held at the Walvis Bay Golf Course.

Despite the fact that Sanlam has decided to discontinue the regional finals and Sun City event, the day was well supported and each player voluntarily contributed N$100 towards cancer research. The B-division players were in a different class in this competition.
Winners in the respective divisions were as follows:
A-Division: 1st Frans Grobler 38 points c/o, 2nd Des Benson 38 points, 3rd Andre Burger 37 points c/o.
B-Division: 1st Justine Grobler 43 points, 2nd Piet v Niekerk 42 points, 3rd Eddie v Wyk 40 points.
C- Division:1ST Chris Bothma 36 points c/o, 2nd Pieter Heunis 36 points, 3rd Johan v Zyl 35 points.
Tomorrow 8 June is the second round of the Dulux Pairs Better Ball Stableford. Winners from the two combined rounds (same partners) stand a chance to qualify for the finals in Windhoek later in the year.
For an extra N$100 teams can also enter this coming Saturday for a Windhoek Lager International Pairs qualifier. An ultimate trip to Portugal is at stake.
There will be Sages on Sunday which were postponed from last week: 08:30 for 18 holers and 10:30 for 9 holers. Sanlam also has some prizes up for grabs to be played for and this Sunday an extra N$50 is needed for Cancer funds.
This coming weekend is the Swakopmund open.
On 22 June will be the second social event.
The ROUND TABLE golf day will be on 5 July
